BarcodeIQ does not require a login, and your scan history is stored locally on your device. Live camera scanning is processed on-device. Selected gallery images are processed locally first; only if local decoding does not succeed may the selected image or a derived crop be temporarily transmitted to BarcodeIQ’s server for secondary decoding.
BarcodeIQ is a barcode and QR code scanning app for iOS and Android. It allows you to scan barcodes using your camera, import images from your photo library, analyse barcode quality, decode GS1 data, and generate barcodes and QR codes.
You do not need to create an account or provide any personal information to use BarcodeIQ. The app works entirely without authentication.
BarcodeIQ requests access to your camera solely to scan barcodes and QR codes. The camera is only active when you are using the scanning screen. It is never accessed in the background or when the app is not in use.
BarcodeIQ opens the system photo picker only when you explicitly choose to import an image for scanning; the reviewed app does not request broad photo-library access. The selected image is processed locally first. Only if local decoding does not succeed may the selected image or a derived crop be temporarily sent to BarcodeIQ’s server for a secondary decoding attempt. The reviewed server application processes the payload in memory and does not intentionally persist uploaded images.
BarcodeIQ reads clipboard content only after you explicitly tap the Paste control. The app then shows the detected text for your review. If you choose Scan, the resulting scan may be saved in local scan history like other scans. Clipboard content is not sent to BarcodeIQ’s server by this feature.
BarcodeIQ can optionally send you a daily reminder to scan. This permission is requested only if you enable reminders in the History tab. You can turn off reminders at any time from within the app or from your device’s Settings. Notification permission is never requested automatically on launch.

These requests transmit the content needed for the selected operation and ordinary network metadata. Hosting and network providers may maintain routine operational or security logs according to their own practices.
BarcodeIQ offers an optional one-time Pro upgrade. Apple App Store or Google Play processes payment. BarcodeIQ uses RevenueCat to retrieve offerings and manage purchase and entitlement status. RevenueCat processes store purchase information, purchase history, and app/service identifiers for validating purchases, managing and restoring the Pro entitlement, and providing purchase analytics. BarcodeIQ does not directly receive full payment-card details, does not require a user account, and does not link this purchase information to your real-world identity.
BarcodeIQ does not include advertising or a general-purpose behavioral analytics SDK. RevenueCat processes purchase information for purchase and entitlement management and related purchase analytics. BarcodeIQ does not use this information for advertising or tracking.
BarcodeIQ is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly seek personal information from children. The data handling described in this policy applies to all users.
If we make material changes to this privacy policy, we will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
