No account required. No tracking. Your scan history is stored on-device only. EAN/UPC product lookups may optionally contact a third-party service — only the barcode number is shared. Gallery image scanning uses a local-first approach; server assistance is used only when local decoding does not succeed, and the reviewed server logic does not intentionally retain uploaded images.

No Login Required

You do not need to create an account or sign in. Open the app and start scanning immediately.

Camera Access

The camera is only used when you are actively scanning. It is never accessed in the background.

Photo Library Access

Photos are selected through the system picker only when you explicitly choose an image. Decoding runs locally first. If local decoding does not succeed, the selected image or a derived crop may be temporarily sent to BarcodeIQ’s server; the reviewed server logic does not intentionally persist it.

Scan History Stored Locally

Your scan history is saved on your device only and not retained on any server. Optional EAN/UPC product lookups share only the barcode number with a third-party service — no personal data.

Store Purchases

Apple App Store or Google Play processes payments. RevenueCat helps manage offering and entitlement status; BarcodeIQ does not directly receive your full payment-card details.

No Ads

BarcodeIQ has no advertising. The free tier is supported by the optional Pro upgrade.
